Itaga Mo Sa Bato

this is a famous saying back home in the Philippines. My mother would always say that if she is suspecting of something. i don't know how to translate it well to english. sorry for that, for one, there is no direct translation. two, my vocabulary is limited to conversational type only... but learning...

i have been so busy this morning and i am unaware of what's happening around me. 'til i got my lunch break at 1 pm (self imposed because i usually just have coffee in the morning and have a little food by around 10am). while eating, i have check things out and i just notice one thing. This thing that i have been thinking had happened this morning or today. i even wondered why i took so long to happen.

anyways, "itaga mo sa bato!" i know this would lead to something. what? (i already know the answer), but when? soon to find out. oh my, my women's intuation (bwahaha! seems like the devil at little mermaid ursula) had never failed me... well? we will soon know.... hehehe...

btw, this is a different topic.

just this morning another friend (i only have two!) and my friends would always ask me how i was able to maintain my weight, yes was able to maintain my 115-130lbs and 25-27 inch waist line. that was since about age 21-23. because as far as i remember during high school until my senior year in college i use to be 99-110lbs.. it was when i started to drink beer that i gain some weight... hahaha... not vitamins folks, yes beer! ... simple arithmetic but difficult if you are not into it... i have this friend back in college who use to be very fat. i put her on a challenge... alas! before our senior year, she looks fantastic...

ok here how it goes:

Step 1. if you are into soda or the like. start avoiding it. nothing beats thirst but water... when your no longer craving for it... go to the next step.

Step 2. Take the morning snack out. hello! you just had your breakfast between 7-8am... what's the eating at 10am about? now, if you are done with this... and no more sobbing... go to the next step...

Step 3. If you have taken the morning snacks out. take the afternoon snacks out too. but since 12noon is far from  7PM dinner. i would suggest take a very slight snacks in between. very light... salad or fruit or digestive cookie and tea...

now, you are the person who eats three full meal. very good. i don't care if you eat too much during those meals for as long as you are just eating three full meals.

Step 4. Are you ready to lessen the intake on either of the three. then go for it...

Step 5. Just as you did on step 4 lessen another meal of your choice. and keep one full meal as how much it is... anyway, don't deprive yourself...

Step 6. I haven't mention the after dinner meals... oh my avoid it now... you may have one on friday and saturdays during your night out... for sure you'll have it with wine or beer or whatever... so there is no depriving... once or twice fun eating and drinking every weekend is just fine....

Step 7. having done all of it... for sure you are now ready to go to your favorite shop to try on some smaller size of clothing like the ones you use to have in high school or college...

but very important note: consult your doctor if this is right. and choose the right and healthy food and drinks... and DO SOME EXERCISE... no need to go to the gym. if you are used to drive going to the store to buy something. now don't. if it is just 5-10 blocks away, then walk... if u use to take the elevator up and down. why not use it going up and use the stairs going down. things like that... exercise will about sagging skin.

basta "ITAGA MO SA BATO!"

  1. Good advice! The best thing I ever did was to stop drinking soda. Not only is it empty calories, but it's bad for your stomach and your teeth as well. It was hard at first, but since I cut it out (and most sweets) I find that I don't crave it any more..in fact, I don't even really like it, it's so overpoweringly sweet.

  4. @Li thanks. and good for you to know that you are not getting any good by craving the sweets. but if we have a little from time to time it would be good. at we will never know the taste of bitter or sour if we dont know the sweet. LOL!

@Sean, just eat the right amount and avoid what is so fattening... and do some exercises. walk, run, you need to start doing your stationary exercise if you are not so much of the workout things... a skipping rope is good.

    @Gary, please do. LOL!
